NOH Portuguese Fish Vinha D'alhos Mix makes a fantastic seasoning for all wild fish species. Easy to prepare, each package has enough seasoning for up to 2 pounds of fish! It is also a great base seasoning for Portuguese pickled onions!
What you need. 1 Pkg. NOH Portuguese Fish Vinha D'alhos Mix., Net wt. 1-1/8 ounce, 32g. 1/2 Cup water 1-2 pounds of Wild Ocean Seafoods Opah, Ono, Mahi Mahi, Shutome, Shibi or Pacific Halibut. 2 tablespoons cooking oil Frying pan or broil or cook on a charcoal grill.
Recipe for Portuguese Fish Vinha D'alhos Mix Combine contents of package with 1/2 cup of water and stir until well blended. Marinate 1-2 pounds of fish (cut 1/2 inch thick) for about 1/2 hour. Cook in frying pan with oil until golden brown. Or, broil or cook on charcoal grill. Easy to prepare. Also excellent for pork, pork chops, chicken, rabbit, wild game, etc.
Portuguese Pickled Onions What you need 1/4 cup water 2 cups HOT water. 1 cup vinegar 1/2 cup sugar 3 medium round onions quart size jar
Recipe for Portuguese Pickled Onions Combine contents of package with 1/4 cup water, 1 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup sugar. Mix until well blended. Cut 3 medium round onions into eights - 1/4 moon shape. Place onions into a quart size jar pressing firmly down. Pour 2 cups of HOT WATER over onions and let stand for a few minutes; then drain. With the sauce mixture, pour over onions and let it stand for 2-3 days. Refrigerate. Ingredients: Salt, powdered vinegar, garlic, pepper, sugar, spices. |
