Alaska Golden King Crab is also known as Brown King Crab is the smallest of the King Crab Species, averaging 6 to 9 pounds in weight. Caught in the waters surrounding the Aleutian chain, golden king crab are the smallest of the three main species. Their shells are golden-orange in color. It tastes similar to the red and blue king crabs, though perhaps somewhat sweeter. Processed into clusters or sections,each leg and body portion weighs approximately 1lb. Alaska Golden King Crab is the largest crab available in whole clusters.
